Why Flowers?

Flowers have always been part of how I see the world.
Growing up it started small; making fairy gardens, collecting plants, being drawn to anything natural that felt bright, detailed, and alive. There’s something about the way nature creates colour and shape that never really leaves you. Even now, I’m still inspired by how much variety exists, and how often it goes unnoticed.
Floristry wasn’t something I planned from the beginning. It found me later, through time spent with my late mother in law, walking through her garden and admiring what she had grown she asked "why not become a florist?". After she passed, I created the flowers for her wake. The first large scale flowers I had ever done. Seeing how much they meant to our family and the way they brought a sense of warmth and brightness into such a heavy space, stayed with me. It’s something that continues to shape how I approach all events and every piece I make.
As I stepped into the industry, I started to notice what felt missing.
So many colour combinations felt too safe or too expected. There is so much more possibility in flowers than what’s commonly used, and I wanted to explore that. To create arrangements with variety, contrast, and intention. Where colours don’t just match but actually work together in a way that feels considered and different.
I also wanted to challenge the idea that something has to feel out of reach to be premium. For me, it’s about thoughtful design, strong colour stories, and seasonal selection. Using mostly seasonal flowers keeps things fresh, ever changing, and allows people to discover something new each time.
For events I wanted to simplify the process entirely. Instead of endless quoting and back and forth, I created an approach where you can see exactly what you’re getting, choose what works for you, and move forward easily. It should feel exciting not overwhelming.
At the core of it all, this is about creating something that feels personal.
I want people to feel seen when they receive flowers. I want them to feel like a message has been understood not just sent. And I want flowers to feel expressive, modern, and genuinely cool again, not something predictable or cliché.
More than anything, I love being able to use what I create to help people say something they might not have the words for. And seeing someone react to something that’s been made just for them, that never gets old.
